With the New Year around the corner, most people are starting to think about their resolutions for 2010. APH have put together a list of resolutions which should help savvy travellers ensure that their new year travel plans run smoothly.
- I will not rely on the UK weather for a 'Barbecue Summer' this year!
- I will consider non Euro-zone countries this year to not only broaden my horizons but also save a packet
- I will not forget to check my travel insurance is valid and that my policy covers the things I want to do
- I will not forget to check my passport is valid for at least six months before the travel date. And remember to check the kid’s passports as they usually only last five years
- I will not forget to get the necessary vaccinations if travelling to a country that requires inoculations.
- I will not forget to check the hidden charges on low-cost airlines before booking my flight. I’ll visit www.aph.com/knowbeforeyougo/hiddencharges.shtml for a guide.
- I will make copies of important documents and leave one copy at home and load one copy onto the ‘APH Online Safe’ in case my bags get lost or stolen.
- I will pre-book airport parking with APH to secure a parking space and the most competitive rate.
- I will check-in online to avoid hefty check-in fees at the airport.
- I will not forget to pack any bottles containing more than 100ml of liquid in my check-in luggage.
